Not many people playing

From time to time i would see how many people are on and usually there are about 2.
Why is that?
I was planning on making a huge red brick house but i dont see the point in doing so since hardly anyone plays now.

Really? We had 9 players non-stop for hours yesterday. I could make it a public server?

.... ZDF... these last few times I've been coming on i've seen like 11 people on... new people are joining now and coing on more Xaph is back and on lots so is ALPHA.. so yeah... your just on at the wrong time

Hmm... strange i must be going on at the wrong times then.
About making the server public...
I guess it could work since the server has all this protection stuff however people can still grief so you would need a couple trust worthy people to be ops.
Then of course those ops would spawn things for themselves or for others.
Even I was rather tempted to spawn items while i was stuck in creative mode.
Well.. i actually did.... to fix what i accidently destroyed because i forgot about the whole instant block removing on creative mode.
Also... everyone would want to be an op and im quite against some people becoming ops who i know would definatly ask for it. Most of the people i trust aren't around anymore.
Im not trying to sound mean towards anyone. I like everyone who plays on sams server. Im just thinking out loud.

Just saying that making the server public has its ups and downs.
I like there to be more people but we will have this problem with griefing and needing ops or else Sam will have to work extra hard.
I would rather it stay private.

Definitely agreeing with ZDF for the remaining private bit... Not only would there be possibility for hardcore grief but there would be INSANE lag

private because some of us have awesome houses with woodlogs and stuff and stone bricks which would end up getting stolen
